Nowadays, a TV goes hand in hand with a DVD player, a receiver or amplifier that is connected to speaker and a gaming console. But an entertainment system will not work well if every piece of the gadget puzzle is in its best condition. Follow these easy cleaning tips: avoid using commercial cleaners as they may only work on certain screens. Instead, use a microfiber cloth dampened with water. Gently wipe in just one direction, quickly following with a dry cloth. Avoid pressing too hard on LCD screens so you don’t end up with damaged or dead pixels.
Plasma screens have a protective glass layer but still it’s best to take care when cleaning them. Make sure your unit is dry before switching it on again. If you must try store-bought cleaners, refer to your manual or call your TV’s manufacturer for compatibility. Maintain the hook of your TV up to a voltage regulator. Many TV’s have been damaged by fluctuating currents when plugged directly to a wall outlet.
